| The
partially completed yard numer 7671 left Northrup Grummann’s Ingalls yard
in Pascogoula, Mississippi, under tow for Europe on or about November 5. The machinery and equipment needed to complete the hull, plus materials for a second ship were also en-route. Lloyd Werft supervised the preparation and towing of the hull and related materials. Norwegian Cruise Line was reported to be finalizing a contract with Lloyd Werft, Bremerhaven, Germany, for converring the ship for its Freestyle fleet. Plans call for the vessel to be delivered in spring 2004. NCL will decide the feasibility of completing the second ship once the outfitting of the first is underway. |
